چکیده

Current Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) guidelines recommend 51 specific factors related to the management of intermittent claudication as quality measures. It was objective this study assess rates adherence these patients treated with suprainguinal or infrainguinal bypass percutaneous vascular intervention and determine if associated a difference in periprocedural outcomes. All from SVS Quality Initiative (VQI) undergoing (INFRA), (SUPRA), (PVI) 2018 were included. Nonelective procedures other than chronic atherosclerotic disease excluded. The each assessable guideline evaluated. For outcomes analysis, individuals classified “adherent” vs not compared. Of recommendations, 12 could be evaluated using VQI registries; included first-line ankle-brachial index, smoking cessation, statin therapy, antiplatelet therapy aspirin, optimal medical after intervention, anatomic imaging studies before optimizing diabetes control, Plavix second-line antiplatelet, adjunct stenting intermediate superficial femoral artery lesions, annual follow-up, covered stents treatment aortoiliac disease, no recommended endovascular isolated infrapopliteal disease. overall “adherence” 38.2% INFRA, 17.1% SUPRA, 32.2% PVI. There surprising number tibial (n = 1431, 3.1%) pedal 12, 0.03%) interventions performed claudication. 784 bypasses (19.3%), 30 (0.7%) at ankle, 2 which tarsal/plantar appears that most part, there do seem important clinical differences based on definition all assessed. Among such survival (Fig 1), time amputation 2), primary patency 3), reoperation/reintervention occlusion 4) PVI, between meeting those adherent Overall are low may an opportunity improvement patient An absence noted reflect unmeasured selection Adding more recommendations registry serve future focus projects.

Predicting outcomes for infrapopliteal limb-threatening ischemia using the Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular Quality Initiative.

OBJECTIVE The outcomes of open surgical or endovascular intervention for limb-threatening ischemia (LTI) involving the infrapopliteal vessels are dependent on complex anatomic, demographic, and disease factors. To assist in decision-making, we used the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) to derive a model using only preoperatively available factors to predict important outcomes for open or endova...

Guidelines for hospital privileges in vascular and endovascular surgery: recommendations of the Society for Vascular Surgery.

The Clinical Practice Council of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) was charged with providing an updated consensus on guidelines for hospital privileges in vascular and endovascular surgery. One compelling reason to update these recommendations is that vascular surgery as a specialty has continued to evolve with a significant shift towards endovascular therapies. The Society for Vascular S...

It was the intent of this study to document, in general, the patterns and complications of heparin and protamine usage during carotid endarterectomy, aortic and femoral-popliteal-tibial reconstructions for occlusive disease, elective and emergent abdominal aortic aneurysmectomy, thromboembolectomy, and dialysis arteriovenous (AV) fistula placement by surgeons from North America and Europe. All ...
